For me, life unfolds in profoundly meaningful instances. Each piece begins with a subject that deeply resonates with me, whether it be a person, a mood, nature, or even an ordinary everyday moment.
As such, my art is an ever-eveolving journey. The process comes to life when I start weaving stories around these subjects. Drawing upon my own experiences and memories, I transport myself back in time, presenting the narrative as it if is unfolding in the present moment.
I am particularly drawn to the simplicity and playfulness of still life, as well as the captivating nature of portraiture, as it enables me to delve deeper and explore the expressive power of emotions. This storytelling aspect allows me to infuse my work with symbols and meanings, creating a visual vocabulary unique to my perspective.
These works reflect a significant phase of my life marked by the transformative experience of motherhood. Bringing in fragility, playfulness, and softness that characterize the journey of nurturing and raising a child.
Through this body of work, I aim to capture the intanible emotions embedded in the ordinary and fleeting moments. Each tuft becomes a mark of emotion, weaving together a tapestry of feelings that transcend the limitations of language and form.
